This book was so adorable! This apparently is the author who wrote "Eight Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter", which was what created the show "8 Simple Rules". I never knew that.

This book is the sequel to "A Dog's Purpose", following the same dog Buddy, as he in reincarnated into yet another life. I have not personally read the first one yet, but I didn't think it would matter, which it doesn't. This book is basically a whole new book onto itself, so the first one is not absoloutely neccessary to read in order to understand this one.

The writing was so good, and it was so fresh to see it from the perspective of the dog, rather than a human. It was simple, cute, fun, and still, heartbreaking and suspenseful at times. You learned everything from the dog's perspective, so you either had follow along about what was going on through the dialogue of the people, or figure it out yourself. This does not by any means mean that it is confusing. It's a pretty straightforward storyline, although at times you may need to use common sense in order to figure out what was going on (ex. Clarity (CJ) having bulimia).

Overall, a cute, light-hearted, yet heart wrenching read. The ending brought tears to my eyes, although it was bittersweet.
