Review of Lost: Season 1

Lost
Season: 1
Aired: September 22nd, 2004

Why oh why, did I take so long to watch this show? Damn. That's all I can say. I love this show. Basically it's your typical plane crash situation. It crashes, and they are stuck. On. an. island. In the middle of the Pacific ocean. It's similar to Lord of the Flies, but less... screwed up. In a sense. There is way more action, and intense-ness, but it's probably the best "crashed-on-an-island" scenario I've ever seen, read, etc...

Basically, this tv show takes you into the lives of the survivors of a plane crash, with only around 50 surviving. This show revolves mainly around the alternating views of about 15. In the first season, you are introduced to all of the characters, and you are shown many 'flashbacks', on which you learn about their lives before the crash. Some will shock you, some are eerie, some are just downright creepy. But alas, a great addition to the show as a whole.

As they situate themselves on the island, they soon learn that it isn't likely that help is going to come anytime soon. They must all learn to work together in order to survive. Quickly, they realize, that this island, is no ordinary island, but in fact, an odd one, where weird things occur, and unexpainable events happen. As they venture on, they discover shocking things about the island, and soon learn they are not alone. There are "Others". This season introduces you to these people, while they are still figuring out who and what exactly they are, and what they are meaning to do. Harm? They don't know, but it doesn't look good.

Honestly, this is now one of my favourite tv shows. I can't believe i'm only discovering this now. I'd reccommend this series to anyone really. It's filled with action, suspense CONSTANTLY (they always leave you with a cliff hanger at the end of each episode), and heartbreak, heartthrob, and more.

Oh, and for those other Lost fans out there? My favourite characters? Definitely Hurley, Jack, Locke, Sayid, and Claire. Jeez, I can't stand Kate.

I'm now off to watch the second season of awesome. Review will be up when completed!
