Trapped inside the City walls, Eve uncovers a shocking secret about her past--and is forced to confront the harsh reality of her future. When she discovers Caleb is alive, Eve attempts to flee her prison so they can be together--but the consequences could be deadly. Wow. Once starts off soon after Eve. I found this book to be so much better than the first. For some reason, I just couldn't find myself able to get into the first one as much. When I started reading Once, immediately I thought differently.

I feel like maybe the reason that I liked Once more was because it had more action and more of a storyline in it. In Eve, it was mostly just her in the wilderness, and I didn't find it too entertaining. In Once, tons of unexpected twists pull you into the novel, making it much more exciting. Also, I thought the storyline was played out a lot better as well. There was more of a variety of characters, and tons of different settings to keep your interest.

If your a Caleb fan, I hate to break it to you, but he doesn't appear a lot in this one. He does, but definitely not as much as in Eve.

Also, what I really liked about these books is that I find Eve to be a very likable character. She's not one that get's on my nerves, or I find annoying to read about whatsoever, which is definitely a plus. I find it really hard to like a book with an unlikable character.

The writing style was fantastic, and I overall just found myself really drawn to this one (Okay, maybe because the cover was gorgeous too), and a lot better and more full of action as opposed to Eve. This one progresses the story a lot more, and a lot of unanswered questions from Eve are finally revealed. I would totally reccommend this one, especially if you've been skeptical. If you were not a huge fan of Eve, I say to give this one a shot, because it's so much better than the first.

I totally look forward to the last book in the Eve trilogy. So excited!
